Slimming World 3 Syn Pizza

pizza-thumbnail-slimming-world-stretfordThis stems from a recipe provided by one of our very on Slimming World Stretford members (Thanks, Jen!) but is a slight twist on the original ‘Garlic Bread’ recipe – instead, we’ve added some free food ingredients… and made a pizza!

Recipe Ideas

For the recipe below, we used a Weight Watchers High Fibre Pitta Bread which is currently a Healthy Extra B choice on the Extra Easy Food Optimising Plan. After mixing some tomato puree and herbs with garlic, we’ve then used two simple toppings for the pizzas below – Cheese and Tomato, Chicken and Sweetcorn.

Before you add the toppings to the wraps, you’ll need to gently bake the pitta bread (plain) underneath the grill to get it crispy – then turn over and do the same.

slimming-world-3-syn-pizza-stretfordOnce crispy, leave to cool and then return back to the oven when you’ve added all the toppings above. (ensure the chicken is cooked beforehand!)

Once complete, allow to cool – we’d usually serve these with potato wedges and a large mixed Free Food salad, but you’re welcome to enjoy them however you like!

Slimming World 3 Syn Cheese and Tomato Pizza

This is great for vegetarians, and for getting used to the method for making these low Syn pizzas!

Ingredients

  • 1 Weight Watchers High Fibre Wrap (Healthy Extra B Choice)
  • Tomato Puree
  • 1 Sliced Tomato
  • Garlic Granules (to taste)
  • Mixed Herbs (to taste)
  • 30g Low Fat Mozzarella (3 Syns)

Method

  1. Turn on the grill, place the wrap onto a grill tray and place under the grill until crispy. Turn over and repeat, then place the wrap on the side to cool.
  2. Mix the Tomato Puree, Garlic granules and Mixed Herbs. Once the wrap is cooled, spread the mixture over the wrap.
  3. Add sliced tomatoes to the top of the puree and then sprinkle with the grated cheese
  4. Return to the grill, and cook until browned.

  • Sliced cooked Chicken
  • Tablespoon of cooked Sweetcorn
  • 30g Low Fat Mozzarella (3 Syns)

Method

  1. Turn on the grill, place the wrap onto a grill tray and place under the grill until crispy. Turn over and repeat, then place the wrap on the side to cool.
  2. Mix the Tomato Puree, Garlic granules and Mixed Herbs. Once the wrap is cooled, spread the mixture over the wrap.
  3. Add sliced cooked chicken and sweetcorn to the top of the puree and then sprinkle with the grated cheese
  4. Return to the grill, and cook until browned.
